A collection of photographs and slides of Chief Justice Lawrence W. I'Anson (1907-1990) of the Virginia Supreme Court. From his first appointment in 1941 to the Portsmouth Hustings Court to his retirement as Chief Justice. Includes the inauguration of Linwood Holton showing a picture of I'Anson and five previous governors. Slides mostly black and white telling life of I'Anson for showing at the Portsmouth Elks Lodge "Lawrence W. I'Anson Testimonial Dinner" of April 11, 1981.
